Kim Lemke

Personal Support to the ED and Board

Kim Lemke is the Administration and Operations Associate at Helen’s Daughters and deeply committed to advancing sustainable development. In her role, Kim provides direct support to the Executive Director, liaises with the Board, and is involved in a variety of tasks from Monitoring and Evaluation to operational coordination. Her journey with Helen’s Daughters began as an intern. Immersed in the non-profit’s work, she found fulfillment in contributing to the significant positive impact, empowering rural women farmers and thereby driving sustainable change— a cause close to her heart.

While Kim is originally from Hamburg, Germany, she has gained diverse experiences in the Caribbean, Canada, and Europe, which shape her unique perspective. Kim’s comprehensive understanding of sustainability challenges in agri-food systems is rooted in her academic background, studying International Food Business (Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) + Bachelor of Agriculture), complemented by two minors: “Food Systems in Transition” and “Introduction to Programming in Python”.
Recognizing the underutilized potential of technology, Kim believes it plays a key role in accelerating sustainability transitions. Working within Helen’s Daughters, Kim strives to use not only her agri-food sector expertise and business acumen, but also her tech-savviness to enhance the organization’s impact and thereby help shape the region’s future amidst our global sustainability challenges.
