Shaquana Barbour is a dedicated professional from St. Vincent and the Grenadines with a strong academic background and extensive experience in various sectors including agriculture, youth engagement, and climate change.

Shaquana holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a Double Major in Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship from the University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus, and has contributed significantly to research on topics such as the performance of the sugar industry in Guyana and the opportunities within the yachting sector in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

At the UWI, she distinguished herself academically and through various achievements, including the prestigious Award for the Best Final Year Project by IICA in 2020. She also earned recognition for outstanding achievements in Crop Production.

She previously worked as a Marketing Analysts Intern at the Ministry of Agriculture and currently holds pivotal roles at the Ministry of Agriculture, including Project Administrator and Project Officer, contributing actively to projects under the World Bank. She is instrumental in technical assistance, procurement, and project management, supporting initiatives such as the FAO Youth in Agriculture and the Blue Economy Food Insecurity Project.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Shaquana is recognised for her commitment to community and leadership, evidenced by her roles as Editor at the Prime Ministerial Advisory Council on Youth, where she curates climate change mitigation and adaptation content.
